BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
THE POSITION (Full-Time)
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, The Business Development Specialist must be outgoing and enjoy working within a small, energetic, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual is a self-starter that is able to take initiative and has a passion for the sports supplement industry.
They have strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Business Development Specialist is hungry for personal and professional growth and development.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Specialist:
• Through the power of social media, cold calls and other digital mediums, prospect and research potential clients within allocated territory
• Contact, qualify and secure new accounts that fit Magnum’s core values and partnership terms
• On-board new clients effectively where they receive proper support from day one: initial staff trainings, social media support, free swag
• Work with existing clients to grow their business through various mediums: staff trainings, special promotional buy-in deals, organize demos at their store/events, social media graphics, properly leverage samples and swag
• Engage, interact and promote the Magnum brand through various social media outlets – LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram
• Continually explore, report on and capitalize any potential business opportunity whether marketing or sales based that can increase brand awareness, market share and sales
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong business acumen and high-degree of professionalism • Thrives working in a team environment and can also be trusted to work autonomously and deliver results
• Outgoing, personable and exciting personality who thrives in both a sales and marketing environment • Social media experience with regards to managing several social media outlets for a brand
• Someone who lives and breathes health and fitness • Individual who thrives in a social networking, cold-calling and sales environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), and Social Media web platforms
• Previous sales experience an asset
• Previous experience in the health and fitness industry is an asset

There’s some seriously hard work involved, so here’s an idea of what you’ll be doing:
•Managing projects, keeping everyone on track and moving forward.
•Juggling priorities. We’ll count on you to keep us always working on the right things.
•Event planning, including organizing trade shows and athlete events
•Writing content, like blog posts and ad copy
•Owning initiatives and delegated responsibilities
•Developing your skills and learning every day
•Keeping the marketing calendar up to date
•Organizing product launches
•Work closely with the Graphics manager to request and develop digital and print graphics
•Research and identify trends and market segmentation
•Manage ad campaigns and budgets
